12-Month “If You Need Extra Time” Contracts

Cosmetology is a 1,600 clock hour course that requires a minimum of 40 weeks to complete. Most schools provide a 42-week enrollment window and charge additional fees if you need more time. At Salon Success Academies, we understand that life happens. We give you a 52-week enrollment window, allowing for personal or sick time if you need it. Most students complete our program within that time and without any additional charges.

Financial Aid

We offer financial aid to those who qualify, including student loans, Pell Grants, and private loans. Part of our mission is to provide our students with every opportunity to complete their education at the lowest cost possible. We have financial aid consultants at each campus who can help you through the process. Repayment of student loans can be deferred up to six months after graduation.

Externship Program

Designed to give students a step-up on job placement, our externship program places you in a professional salon for a total of 160 hours toward your license. By working as assistants in salons before graduation, many of our students are hired immediately after earning their licenses.

"Starting Smart" Orientation Program

During our two-day program you'll be introduced to campus life, meet the faculty and staff who will guide you through the next year, enjoy lunch, have a chance to meet other students, experience a day of beauty in our student salon, and receive all the equipment and tools you'll use as you begin your beauty career.

Pivot Point Partnership

We are the only Pivot Point-certified training program in the Inland Empire area. Founded in 1962 by industry icon Leo Passage, Pivot Point education has earned worldwide recognition within the professional beauty industry. Pivot Point provides innovative educational materials and equipment to meet the needs of today's salons and spas. Pivot Point also provides instructor training for all Salon Success Academies educators.

Accreditation

All Salon Success Academy campuses are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). Accreditation ensures the highest standards in cosmetology education. All our campuses have achieved the highest level of recognition from NACCAS.

State Board Preparation

After completing 1,200 hours toward your license, you will participate in a mock state board exam. This exam is designed to help you identify the areas where you need more practice. Our staff will then work with you to help you improve in those areas.

Salon Management Classes

You'll learn how to build a clientele, create a professional portfolio, and practice your people skills, all in the first few weeks of class! Right from the start, we are focused on helping you begin a successful beauty career.

Community Outreach

The professional beauty industry is well known for the many charitable causes supported each year. Each Salon Success Academies campus is actively involved in local charity campaigns. Throughout the year, our students experience firsthand the rewards of being good citizens of their communities.

Student Ambassador Program

In our Student Ambassador program, we give you the chance to develop leadership skills as you help with our Starting Smart orientations, attend industry hair shows, mentor new students, shadow experts off campus, and represent our school in the community. This is one of the only programs of its kind in the beauty school industry, and it has been proven to help build confidence and skills.

Cutting-Edge Facilities

Salon Success Academy was the first beauty school in the country to rethink beauty school design. Our facilities are divided into spacious classrooms for lectures and hands-on practice. The clinic labs are real salon environments where students learn and practice on paying clients and develop professional customer service skills.
