Student Ambassadors

Continuing a “People Helping” Tradition

Our Student Ambassadors are an important part of the Salon Success Academies family. These outstanding students help us with new student orientations, charity events and fundraising, and other school projects.

The Student Ambassador Responsible Leadership program is designed to help current beauty school students become leaders in their school and in the community, helping them build the skills that will serve them as they begin their new beauty careers. Students from all five Salon Success Academies campuses apply to become Student Ambassadors and are chosen based on specific criteria and interviews. The Ambassadors change on a regular basis, as older students graduate and new students begin classes. Here are some of our current student ambassadors:

Corona Campus:

Marcella M.
Marcella was always interested in working in the beauty or fashion industry. She always gets a sense of fulfillment from helping others look as good as they feel. Marcella said when she walked into Salon Success Academy she was welcomed with open arms. She loves that everyone at the school is dedicated to helping the students be the best they can be. As a new Student Ambassador, Marcella is looking forward to giving back to the local community and perfecting her skills.

Michelle F.
Michelle started working in a salon right after she graduated high school. She wanted to continue to education and advance her career, so she enrolled at Salon Success Academy because it was close to home. Once she started the enrollment process, she was instantly impressed at how accommodating the staff was and how they made her feel right at home. As a new Student Ambassador, Michelle wants to be a good example for the other students and help them stay focused on their passion.

Upland Campus:

Devon V.
Devon always loved doing hair and makeup and helping others feel beautiful. When she started researching different beauty schools in the area, she found that Salon Success Academy had everything she was looking for. Everyone she talked to had nothing but good things to say about the school. Devon is determined to go as far as possible with her new career, which is why she joined the Student Ambassador program. She hopes to better herself, improve her skills, and help her classmates do the same.

Redlands Campus:

Kelly F.
Kelly wanted to go to beauty school since she was a young girl. When she had the means to finally do it, she came to Salon Success Academy because the school was well organized and had a friendly atmosphere. She feels that the school's staff genuinely cares about her success in the industry. As a Student Ambassador, she wants to bring more spirit days and styling competitions to the Redlands campus. She's excited to help raise money for some good causes and help set a positive tone at the school.

Marisela L.
Marisela always loved playing with her sisters' hair growing up. She decided to go to beauty school because she wanted to make a living doing something that she loved. She's enjoyed her experience at Salon Success Academy because she's allowed to be as creative as she wants to be. Being a part of the Student Ambassador Program has also let her be more involved in school activities and help boost the level of school spirit at the campus.

San Bernardino Campus:

Angela F.
Angela always felt that a career in the beauty industry would be the best way for her to express herself. She chose to come to Salon Success Academy because it had the best atmosphere of all the schools she toured. Now she loves every minute she's at Salon Success Academy. She said it can be hard work at times, but it's also fun and very rewarding. Every day she's inspired by her classmates to be a better stylist and she hopes she does the same for them. As a new Student Ambassador, Angela would like to start a study group to help improve test scores. She looks forward to teaching the other students the tricks and techniques she's learned along the way.

George R.
George was inspired to pursue a career in the beauty industry by his fashion-forward sister. When he came to Salon Success Academy, he was impressed by the small class size and the fact that he could get one-on-one attention from his instructors. He's happy to be a part of the Student Ambassador Program because the experience has helped him overcome being shy. He knows his new found confidence will help him be more successful in school and in his future career.

Jose H. Jose H.
Jose always had a knack for expressing himself through hair and makeup. He feels like he's changing the world one person at a time by helping them become a more beautiful version of themselves. When he decided to enroll in beauty school, Jose felt that Salon Success Academy was the school that best met his needs. He's impressed by the amount of hands-on training and support he's received from his cosmetology instructors. Jose auditioned to be a part of the Student Ambassador Program because he wanted be a role model to the other students.

Fontana Campus:

Lizbeth E.
For as long as she can remember, Lizbeth wanted to go to beauty school. She chose to come to Salon Success Academy because it seemed like a better choice than the other beauty schools in the area. As a new Student Ambassador, Lizbeth hopes to be a role model to the other students. She wants to show them that no matter what life throws at you, you can finish school and accomplish your goals.

Tatum H.
Tatum was introduced to Salon Success Academy through the ROP program at her high school. After she graduated, she wanted to continue her education at the school. She wants to work in the beauty industry because she's passionate about helping others look and feel beautiful. She knows she can be successful in the industry and make a great living for herself. Tatum is inspired by her instructor, Ms. Brandy, because she's knowledgeable in many different areas of the beauty industry. She wanted to be a Student Ambassador in order to learn, help, and be involved as much as possible.

Virginia R.
Virginia enrolled in beauty school because she was ready to start the next chapter of her life. She knew about Salon Success Academy because her friend, Wendy, graduated from the school and did a great job styling her hair. When Virginia came in to see the school for herself, she loved how small the class sizes were and that the instructors were giving one-on-one instructions to the students. Virginia applied to the Student Ambassador program because she wanted to help volunteer at Operation Safe House and give back to the local community.
