Cosmetology at Salon Success Academies

Earning your cosmetology license will give you the chance to help people look and feel their best through a wide range of beauty services. You'll have the opportunity to learn how to provide high-quality hair, skin, and nail services after completing the 1,600 hour program.

When you enroll in the Salon Success Academies cosmetology program, you can study subjects such as hair-cutting and coloring, chemical relaxing, hair design and styling, manicuring, facials, and makeup application. You can also learn the importance of proper sanitation, health and safety standards, and basic anatomy and physiology. We also emphasize the importance of proper salon management, and we’ll instruct you on how to build a client base and eventually own your own business.

Our instructors will help prepare you to take the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology licensing exam after graduation. Once you've earned your license in cosmetology, there should be many job opportunities available to you! Some of the exciting options in the beauty industry are as a salon stylist, a salon owner or manager, a fashion stylist in the fashion or entertainment industry, and an educator in the beauty industry.
